Beaker’s Bleak Lab Leak tells the chaotic origin of a world where paint no longer stays put. Perched atop a snow-covered cabin, a blue bird scientist with a knack for art restoration oversees the fallout of an accidental spill. What was meant to preserve has instead unleashed. Toxic pigment floods the land, and from it emerge the long-trapped creatures of canvas-limbo: serpents, frogs, venus flytraps, and more — once dormant, now mutated and alive. The sky teems with shadows of otherworldly forms, while gnomes in hazmat suits scramble in vain. This piece marks the beginning where art, alchemy, and catastrophe collide, and the stories buried in pigment rise to claim their second life.
